Civic Literacy Initiative: Pod-Talks Program

Pod-Talks Program

The Civic Literacy Initiative started the Pod-Talks Program in 2020 during the COVID-19 Pandemic. The interactive programs are built on a traditional Book Club model, but we replace the "Book" with a freely available Podcast episode. The topics focus on Civic Engagement, Social Justice, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. The Library moderates an active discussion of a selected podcast and incorporates library and external resources to help educate our community. The Library also collaborates with various campus partners in organizing and hosting our Pod-Talk programs.

Our Pod-Talks:

Social Justice and the Power of Athletes Women in STEM
