The site sponsored by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention helps children ages 9-13, learn about their bodies, nutrition, diseases and other cool health related topics. In the teacher's corner, the site provides interactive, educational, and fun activities that are linked to the national education standards for science and health.

Developed by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics this website includes links to articles, and other resources (BMI calculator, handouts) about nutrition. Its companion site, Kids Eat Right, focuses on nutrition information for infants through teens.

Exploratorium Sport Science
 
This site created by the Exploratorium Museum in San Francisco, CA helps students not only learn about a specific sport (baseball, cycling, surfing, etc), but teaches them the science behind each one. You can even try some of the experiments with your students, such as the "Thrown for a Curve".

Playworks is a non-profit organization who key purpose is to engage students in the benefits of recess/gym where they can build their social and emotional skills. Presidential Youth Fitness Program
 
The National Fitness Foundation helps schools achieve excellence in physical education through quality fitness education and assessment practices. There is a physical educator guide in PDF format that tells you how to get started, motivate your students and assess their fitness needs. The resource library section provides a wealth of information and resources to help teachers with ideas, activities and assessments for their students to engage in.
