Developed by Emile Jaques-Dalcroze to tap into students' natural sense of rhythm, the Dalcroze Eurhythmics approach focuses on rhythmic movement, aural training, and improvisation. Information about Dalcroze and the Dalcroze method, teacher training programs, etc. is available from this website.

National Art Education Association (NAEA)
The NAEA, a non-profit, educational organization promotes art education through professional development, education and advocacy. The website provides access to downloadable promotional materials and lists of their publications.

Standards

National Core Arts Standards
The National Core Arts Standards for Dance, Media Arts, Music, Theatre and Visual Arts uses the processes of Creating, Performing/ Presenting/ Producing, Responding and Connecting as its framework . These standards were developed by a coalition of arts education organizations.
Grades: Pre-K - 12
New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards--Visual and Performing Arts
Standard 1 of the New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards. The 2014 standards are identical to the 2009 standards in anticipation of the adoption of the National Core Arts Standards in 2014. The standards will be reviewed again in 2019.
