Getting Started

Getting started with your thesis can be a daunting task, especially if you're new to the University.

This guide brings together many of our best Music resources, all of which can also be found on the Library website.

The David & Lorraine Cheng Library is an important resource for finding materials to complete your research.  We have hundreds of thousands of items (books, media, serials, etc.), including ebooks and streaming video.  Our many databases also provide online access to thousands of periodicals (newspapers, magazines, scholarly journals, etc.), as well as streaming audio (Jazz and Classical) and even dissertations and theses.

Another great feature of our Library is the helpful staff  who are available to assist with any of your research needs.  If you're not sure where to begin, check out the "Need Help?" box to the left, for your options.  While I am 'officially' your Music librarian, many of the other librarians can assist with many of your questions.

Feel free to reach out to me if you have any research questions or need additional assistance with anything during your studies.
