NUR4305: Nursing Leadership and Professional Practice: Academic Writing Resources

The WPU Writing Center (124 Grant) provides one-on-one peer writing consultations for any WPU student, teacher or alum about any kind of writing in any stage of development on any device. This is a safe space to share your writing and a brave space committed to promoting social justice through collaborative action.

Writing consultants can help you get started, review assignments, brainstorm, outline, work on focus and thesis, organize, add power/style, and use, cite and list sources. They can also help you edit and proofread your writing. Their aim is not just to produce a better piece of writing, but to help you become a more confident, comfortable, and powerful writer.

Tutor.com helps students with writing assistance, both live and via submitting papers for review, 24/7. Tutor.com is linked to the student Blackboard (Bb) home page.

-It can be found by going to “Content” menu on the top of the Bb page.
-Once you click “Content” select “Books & Tools” on the left side of the Bb then select “Tutor.com 24/7 Online Tutoring on the right-side pop-up window.
-Students can log in for free from the Bb page.
-You can select the topic you need assistance with.
-One of the selections is writing.
-You will be able to submit your paper in the tab called “Drop off your work”, writing review.
-Tutor.com will send you the reviewed paper back within 12 hours as mentioned.
-Later, go to Bb and access tutor.com, login and click on completed sessions under my account tab. In the completed sessions you will see the reviewed document.
-Now download this, revise based on the provided recommendations and submit your final revised paper through safe assign for grading.
