Biographical materials can be found throughout the library and in many of our online sources.  This guide will introduce you to some of these resources and show you where to begin your research.

Some things to think about when looking for biographies:

• Not all biographies are created equal.  Be sure to look for more than one, and see what is unique in each.
• Age does matter.  Newly famous people may not have as much information available.
• Always start with authoritative sources.  The sources listed in this guide are a starting point, but all have been chosen for their quality.
