I Learn America--Human Library
Inspired by the film, I Learn America (available in streaming format through NJVid) the Human Library consists of first person stories of immigrant teens. Students must register to share their own stories. The stories may be sorted by categories including state, school, country of origin, etc.

Standards for Foreign Language Learning: Executive Summary
Link to the Executive Summary of Standards for Foreign Language Learning developed in 1996 by the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages. The third edition of these standards published in 2006 are available only in print.

Established by the U.S. Library of Congress in collaboration with UNESCO and partner organizations around the world this free resource provides significant primary materials from countries and cultures around the world. Organized by place, time, topic, type of item, and contributing institution, resources can also be found by keyword search. Navigation and descriptions of resources are available in seven different languages. A text to speech option is available, as well as many other special features.

World Weather Information Service
Official weather information for select cities around the world, compiled and sponsored by the Hong Kong Observatory. Forecasts are provided by the weather service in participating 234 countries. Available in 10 languages other than English.
