Learning for Justice
A Project of the Southern Poverty Law Center the Teaching Tolerance website provides resources and support for reducing prejudice and encouraging respect for differences in schools. Resources include free video kits, an online magazine, a blog of news items, sample lesson plans and teaching activities.

Diverse BookFinder: Identify and Explore Multicultural Picture Books
Sponsored by Bates College in Lewiston,ME and funded through a federal grant this database tries to identify ALL multicultural picture books published in the U.S. since 2002. Searchable by race-culture, ethnicity, religion, holiday, setting, awards, etc. The website includes selected lists for adoption, multiracial families, and more. Not all books are recommended.

CELL (Collaborative for Equity in Literacy Learning
This website from Mount St. Mary College has lists of diverse literature. It includes booklists for meeting Common Core Standards, as well as books by and about African Americans, Native Americans, Hispanic Americans, Asian Americans, Special Needs children and LGBT.

Notable Books for a Global Society
"Annually, a committee of the CL/R SIG (Children’s Literature and Reading Special Interest Group) of the International Literacy Association selects 25 outstanding trade books for enhancing student understanding of people and cultures throughout the world. The committee reviews books representing all genres intended for students K-12."
