The purpose of the site is to promote relgious tolerance and scholarship, and is a nonprofit archive of electronic texts devoted to religion, mythology, folklore, the occult and esoteric topics.
Perseus is an evolving digital library, engineering interactions through time, space, and language. The site is hosted by the Classics Department at Tufts University.
Providing an overview of existing and past religious movements, a primary goal of this site is to promote religious tolerance and appreciation of the positive benefits of pluralism and religious diversity.
