Welcome to the Research Guide for HIST 2600!

This Guide is intended to help students in HIST 2600: Historical Methods (History of Immigration Focus) successfully complete the research paper and other assignments in the course. A significant part of the work for the course involves making use of historical and contemporary Census data on the immigrant population, so these resources are covered in depth.

Each page in this Guide covers finding tools for identifying and using both secondary and primary sources in history, with an emphasis on materials useful for topics in the history of immigration in the United States.

If you have any questions moving forward, please feel free to contact me using the information on the right. I am happy to assist you with any aspect of the course related to research.
