Overview

The ProQuest Ebook Central collection provides users full-text access to over 78,000 electronic books from a variety of academic publishers. There are approximately 2,500 education titles and over 6,000 business titles. Approximately 75% of books in the collection were published within the last ten years.

Ebook Central's platform supports a full range of functions, allowing users to:

  • View the document's table of contents, and see a ranking based on the relevance of your search term(s) in each chapter;
  • Open e-books to explore and read them;
  • Search e-books for additional terms;
  • Copy text;
  • Print pages;

If you sign in with a personal account, you can highlight text, add notes, and organize information on your personal bookshelf into folders.

In most cases, you can get a PDF chapter or section up to 60 pages for download. You can download an entire book to a portable e-reader for 14 days. By setting up your own account, you can highlight and make notes that are saved and setup your own personal bookshelf

Using ProQuest Ebook Central

You will be prompted to download some extra software 'Adobe Digital Editions' the first time you do so.  After 3 days, the book locks up...so there are no overdue fines!  You can always read online or download an item again. You cannot download to a public computer (in a PC lab).

 

PRINTING:  There is a limit to the number of pages you can print. ??
